According to our legend, on a fateful night, the moon turned blood red in the sky of Mortlach and a mysterious alchemist occurred. The beast of Dufftown transformed under the optimistic light, soaring through the night sky, a mythical creature drawn up by the deep red orb full of enchantment. Deep within the stills of Mortlach, the influence of the blood moon resonates, its enchanting ruby hue and dark complexity have transformed Mortlach itself into a rare and captivating essence.Hidden in the valley of history, dark and mysterious, Mortlach has long attracted fans with its profound and captivating character. It has its own aura; the light seems to pull down lower through its sacred doors. Even the way everything is different, the whisky is distilled 2.81 times in six stills arranged in a pattern unlike any other. Part science, part mystery. Bold, yet enigmatic. Sparkling with a ruby hue, this legendary whisky is perfected in a blend of Virgin Oak, Tawny Port, and Red Muscat casks that highlight its deep amber color. The powerful aroma of rich wine and sweet grapes intertwines with the meaty flavor of Mortlach. Rich and layered, the vibrant, sweet fruit flavors shine with the depth of ginger spiced by the partially original maturation in pure oak.
