Royal Lochnagar 1981 is a small batch from a pioneering experiment to achieve the “angel's share,” the portion of whisky lost from the cask due to evaporation during distillation. When the experiment concluded, a small amount of liquid was transferred into the current casks, resting quietly for 5 decades. This matured whisky brings elegance, freshness, and vibrancy with the aromas of honeysuckle, rose, and nightshade, along with a creamy, smooth texture.
WINE TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Provides a gentle sensation with a light prick from the fragrance of honeysuckle, rose, and nightshade.Taste: A smooth, creamy texture, pleasantly sweet overall, light as wax, accompanied by a spicy kick. Everything quickly becomes dry with a gradually increasing warmth.
