Mortlach, the “Giant of Dufftown,” is a beast born under the full moon with a pure yet fierce heart. Mortlach 13 Y.O has a perfect structure under a prominent personality. The golden liquid in the bottle has the ability to lull the senses with a round, gentle aroma before unexpectedly awakening them with the spicy scent of fresh oil wood and a range of other enticing flavors.
Next is the arrival from the wild fields: the aroma of heather pollen blends with the scent of crushed herbs, culminating in a gentle, refreshing sensation.
WINE TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: A gentle fragrant aroma, followed by a soaring note of fresh wood. Next is a salty taste with a hint of sweet and sour meat. Finally, a deep layer of aroma from heather pollen and freshly crushed herbs.
Palate: With a super smooth texture coating the palate, the flavor is wonderfully strong from vanilla, the dry spiciness of new oak, along with a light spiciness at the back of the throat.
Finish: Long-lasting and deeply impressive. The fruitiness and spiciness blend perfectly. A touch of water brings a fresh herbal floral aroma.
