CARDHU 14 YEAR OLD SPECIAL RELEASES 2021 SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY, 70CL
Aged in American oak barrels and finished in red wine casks, Cardhu 14 Y.O is the most harmonious and alluring in the Cardhu line with the sweet fragrance of fruits from the vast, expansive plains of Knockando.
The ethereal aroma will envelop the taster before they can recognize the different layers of flavors, white grapes, lychee, green apple, pear, ripe orange,… and a slight spiciness of mature oak. A whisky fragrant with floral notes from the Speyside region, with a prominent mysterious note of Parma violet.
WINE TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Light fruity aroma, fragrance of white grapes, lychee, pear, and green apple, orange peel along with pastry. Then comes a light spiciness from the wine barrel. A bit of water will reveal a note of meadow flowers.
Taste: Soft, smooth creamy texture and quite full-bodied, with a sweet flavor reminiscent of homemade coffee. Soon, that flavor becomes more fragrant like Parma violet, a note enhanced by winey red apple and pear, making it more appetizing with an oak flavor.
Finish: Brief, sweet, and warm, with a fragrance lingering in the aftertaste. Combined with a bit of water, it creates a smoother sensation along with the warm taste of white pepper, and a hint of green apple.
