According to our legend, when the tide in Talisker Bay flows with an unusual force, a glowing creature is pulled from the darkest depths, flooding the darkness at the bottom of the deep sea with its enchanting light. This powerful luminescence has been carried by the flow like a storm to the Talisker distillery, illuminating its new spirit. In that spirit, vibrant light shines, its classic smoky aroma fading before the radiant wave of rare bright sweet flavor.
On the shores of Loch Harport, near the rugged west edge of the Isle of Skye, legends easily become reality. Highlighted by a shape newly cooled by the spirit of the sea, Talisker has crafted its own maritime destiny here since 1830. Sweet, salty, thunderous, and smoky, elements like land, sea, or storm, this is a whisky for those with a wild soul, Made by the Sea. Light shines through every element here. Amidst the deep golden light, the salty smoky scent of a beach bonfire gives the nose a gentle feeling of the sea. The first fill of ex-bourbon casks creates layers of vibrant flavors, a smooth oil-like texture, sweet and slightly spicy, salty and fruity, like an orchard in sea mist. The power of peat emerges in the long finish with a spicy chili note. This is a legendary Talisker, embodying elegant beauty.

WINE TASTING NOTES:

Nose: Maritime sensation with a light spiciness, initially reminiscent of a beach filled with dried seaweed, followed by deep notes of ocean saltiness and maritime engine, on a fresh linen backdrop.
Palate: Silky oil-like texture, while the sweet flavor is transparent and spicy like smoke, with a hint of distinct fruitiness, all evoking an orchard seen through smoke and sea mist.
Finish: Long, persistent, and lightly smoky, with warm spices lingering.
