Tanqueray Malacca Gin was first launched in 1998, based on a recipe developed by Charles Waugh Tanqueray dating back to 1839. He was known for traveling to various places in search of exotic spices to incorporate into his gins, creating a flavor inspired by his explorations along the southwestern coast of the Malay Peninsula. The gin became one of the most beloved spirits among bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts, but unfortunately, it was discontinued in 2001. To meet the demand of bartenders, Tanqueray has re-released the gin in a limited production run of 100,000 bottles. The gin is said to have a sweet citrus flavor of lemon, lavender, and jasmine, as well as pepper, rose, and clove. Limited quantity available, order today.
