The first impression of The Singleton of Glen Ord 43 is a rich symphony of aromas with cheerful notes of grape, orange, cherry, and apple on a slow, deep base of beeswax and sandalwood. Despite its high alcohol content of 48.4%, this smooth whisky is remarkably mellow on the palate, offering a creamy, sweet burst of fresh grape, then transitioning to a subtle peppery spiciness. Adding a little water further enhances the sweetness and smoothness with a vibrant butterscotch aroma. The finish is sweet, lingering, and dry on the palate with a gentle ginger spiciness. The Singleton of Glen Ord 43 Year Old is a limited edition of only 600 bottles.
