Rich caramel and spice illuminated by purple plum and blackberry. Secondary maturation in old Sherry and Amontillado casks. As our legend tells, a vibrant stream of light developed in the ink-black sky above Oban, guided by a celestial body. A lively and energetic creature bearing stars, it soared through the sky and unleashed a brilliant purple explosion, casting its ethereal light upon the Oban distillery. A vibrant energy illuminates the landscape with plum and blackberry hues, imbuing Oban with an otherworldly sweetness. On a rare autumn night in Oban Bay, the shimmering light of the Aurora Borealis illuminates this quaint coastal town and its namesake distillery. One of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries, Oban rose in 1794, bringing vibrancy to its tranquil surroundings. Though small, its mythical nature has been etched in the stars for centuries. Maturation in refilled casks and new American oak, then double-matured in old Sherry Amontillado casks, imparts a delicate flavor with sea salt and marine air. The creamy texture delivers a rich flavor with sweet hints of wine-soaked plums, balanced by savory salt and spices, before finishing with a hint of chili.
