Mortlach, “The Beast of Dufftown”, is a beast born under the full moon with a pure yet fierce heart. Mortlach 13 Y.O possesses a perfect structure under a striking personality. The shimmering golden hue of the bottle lulls the senses with its rounded, gentle aroma before unexpectedly awakening them with the fresh, spicy scent of oilwood and a host of other captivating flavors.
Next comes an arrival from the wilderness: the scent of heather pollen blending with finely ground herbs, finally culminating in a soothing, delightful sensation.
TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: A gentle aroma, followed by an uplifting note of fresh wood. Next comes a salty and slightly sweet and sour meaty note. Finally, a deep base of heather pollen and freshly ground herbs.
Taste: With an ultra-smooth texture enveloping the palate, a wonderfully powerful vanilla flavor, the dry spiciness of new oak, and a subtle spiciness in the throat.
Finish: Long and deeply impressive. Fruity and spicy notes blend perfectly. A touch of water brings a fresh floral and herbal aroma.
