Johnnie Walker traces its roots to a small grocery store run by Johnnie Walker in Kilmarnock, Scotland, in 1820, and is today the world's best-selling Scotch whisky brand. Odyssey belongs to the prestige John Walker & Sons collection, positioned above the Blue Label tier.
As Johnnie Walker's first-ever triple malt, Odyssey was crafted by Master Blender Jim Beveridge from three rare, carefully selected single malts – Cardhu, the spiritual home of Johnnie Walker; the distinctively waxy Clynelish from the Northern Highlands; and the elegant Royal Lochnagar from Deeside – married together in European oak casks.
Deep amber colour; a nose of orange, honey, caramel and clove spice with a touch of sea salt; the palate opens smooth with honey, citrus and melted chocolate, building into warm baking spices like clove, nutmeg and ginger balanced by rich honey and caramel; a long, graceful finish of beeswax, dried fruit, vanilla oak and a whisper of coastal smoke.
