Marqués de Tomares was founded by Don Román Montaña in 1910, continuing a family grape-growing tradition dating back to 1886, and is still run today by his grandchildren. The estate holds nearly 106 hectares of family-owned vineyards, many over 100 years old, spread across Rioja Alta in Haro, Fuenmayor and the surrounding areas.

Made in D.O.Ca. Rioja, Rioja Alta sub-zone – one of only two Spanish wine regions to hold the country's highest classification.

Deep ruby colour; aromas of red fruit, hints of vanilla, coffee and caramel; palate shows raspberry with lactic and balsamic notes.
