The Díaz Bayo family has farmed long-standing vineyards in Fuentelcésped, Ribera del Duero, across generations, sourcing Tempranillo from three estate vineyards at 890–940m elevation on clay-limestone soils.
15 Meses en Barrica 2021 is aged 15 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release.
Deep picota-red colour with a youthful purple rim; aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry and plum, layered with balsamic, spice, cocoa and liquorice notes; a fleshy, well-structured palate with fresh acidity balancing its powerful body, finishing long and elegant with cocoa and lightly toasted oak.
